Movie Episode - Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas gets engaged

After Roka ceremony, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas get ready for the engagement party

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have made their relationship official with Roka ceremony. The couple will throw an engagement bash later tonight.

After months of rumours and speculation, Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas made their relationship official with a Roka ceremony held on Saturday morning. The Roka ceremony will be followed by a star-studded party later tonight where Nick will meet Priyanka’s friends and colleagues.

Nick Jonas’ parents are also in the country to attend the bash along with the Chopra family. A source close to indianexpress.com earlier revealed that the Chopras booked 200 rooms in a hotel for the guests, many of whom are arriving from the United States. Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Sophie Choudry and Raveena Tandon are expected to attend the ceremony tonight.

The priest who performed Priyanka and Nick’s pre-wedding rituals talked to the media after the ceremony. He said, “We have performed a puja for a happy and a prosperous life of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. After lord Ganesha’s puja, they performed their engagement ceremony. All the family members were present at the puja.”

Sister of Priyanka Arpita arrived in a pretty pink suit to join her friend on her big day. The two are often seen together on dinner dates and Priyanka was one of the first people to pay Arpita a visit when her son, Aahil was born.

The invitation also suggests that all is well between Priyanka and Salman after she quit his film Bharat merely 10 days before her portion of the shoot was to begin. Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar hinted in a tweet that the reason behind her exit from the film was her engagement with Nick. A few reports suggested that Salman and the film’s producers were angry at Priyanka for leaving their film in a lurch without proper notice.
